I am Queen Mother Nilaja,
Mother of civilization
Queen of the universe
I hold the children in my loving arms
I soothe the warrior with my sinewy thighs
Black thighs, as the Last Poets` defined them
I smile at the elders and they know
That I love them
I nurture a nation
~I am Nilaja ~

"Peace", This is Nilaja representing from Philadelphia, PA. Happy to be a part of the black planet experience.

I`m just a sister trying to be "part of the solution" and stay true to my heritage and my revolution. I come from a mighty lineage of Warriors and Queens and for this I am truly grateful. I am not here to attract "Dates" for I am not starving for affection. I wish to attract those who seek wisdom, knowledge and understanding and those who are living in "Order". I choose not to waste my space for many are called but few are chosen to work with POWER.

I`ll be turning you on to some very interesting pages relating to different cultures that I love to study. I am a poet and a seeker of knowledge. I am currently studying Egyptology and Mayan, Toltec and Aztec cultures of antiquity. I am also an archeological novice.

My site is currently under construction due to technical changes that have taken place recently here and at other sites so keep your eyes on this house ;-]

Please visit page 5 in my guestbook to read some of my poetry and dedications to the Million Man and Woman Marches.

As a courtesy, please sign my guestbook and I will return the favor when I visit your page.

ATTENTION: THE QUEEN IS NOW ACCEPTING VISITORS IN HER TIME CAPSULE!

Favorite Quotes:

"Each one teach one" -Malcolm X
"It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness"-My Father
"The strength of a black woman is likened to Galactic noise" -7Mil@BlackPlanet
"It is better to let everyone think that you are a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"-African Proverb

A woman is like a garden -
If you do not water it,
All of its blooms will wither.
If you cease to nurture it,
It will cease to thrive.
If you fail to prune it,
Thorns will overwhelm it,
And weeds will overtake it.
A woman is like a garden-
With proper care and pruning,
She will produce beautiful blooms,
And be a source of beauty and wonder!
~Nilaja~

I leave a gift for you. Take a golden egg and manifest prosperity in your life.

*Nilaja Ogunwalé*

My name is Nilaja Ogunwalé,
I say this cause I really am, you see.
Mighty as iron, agressive and fierce, Armed with the truth and arrows that pierce.

And in the same breath I am tender and warm,
Loving and "Peace" like a quiet storm.

The "God of Iron", Ogunwalé,
Nilaja is "Peace", alive and free.
I tell you again, cause I know what I mean.
That my attribute REALLY...
Is that of a Queen!
